My skin is normally clear, but occasionally I get the odd breakout which just seems to spread and migrate all over my chin and cheeks. If there's one thing I dislike it's using benzoyl peroxide to nix acne, I hate how it stains my towels and dries out my skin leaving it scaly and irritated looking worse than it did before I applied it.
So during my last facial at the Bliss Spa I asked what a good alternative would be for BP that won't leave my skin flaky. The esthetician suggested a new product from Bliss' No Zit Sherlock line for treating acne which is a spot treatment that contains salicylic acid, which is a lot milder than BP but still gets the job done.
I've been using the spot treatment for about 2 months now and I'm truly a fan. It doesn't dry out my skin leaving me flaky but it still zaps zits by clearing the bacteria and preventing further breakouts.
Another great thing about this spot treatment is that it helps diminish the look of acne fast, you know when you get a breakout and after its gone you're left with a red mark for a while? Not with this. The 2% salicylic acid is great at getting rid of those annoying red marks left over so your skin is looking clear super quick.
And it won't bleach your towels!
The treatment is light almost gel based and a little goes a long way, after 2 months I still have over half the bottle still left over.
Definitely worth trying if you're frustrated with bleached out towels and flaky, irritated skin!
