Sometimes as a beauty blogger I get so caught up on expensive brands at Sephora and department store counters that I totally neglect amazing drugstore brands. It's a really bad habit some of us beauty obsessed girls get locked into, and every once in a while we need to head to the drugstore and hit up some cheap goods.

That's not to say I'm a Sephora snob, some of my must-have staple faves are totally drugstore products. Mascaras for example--totally not worth paying big bucks for as there is SO MANY excellent drugstore mascaras out there. Besides I get a ton of requests for excellent drugstore products so I decided to hit up the big 3 and stock up on some new goods.

Lucky for me, I've discovered a new favorite! Like seriously guys, I'm obsessed!

I've been jealously listening to all my favorite UK beauty bloggers and friends lament how amazing Garnier's new BB cream, the Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector for, like, a year now and each time I considered begging them to mail me some but alas I waited and FINALLY it has come to the US (and Canada, my special Canadian readers--apparently it's the first BB cream to hit Canada SO GET ON IN) But seriously I'm in love.

If you haven't experienced the amazingness that is BB creams yet, and are wondering wtf a BB cream even is: it's last years newest amazing product that started in Korea or somewhere like that. Basically it's a beauty balm (or blemish balm) that goes on like a skin perfecting foundation that has skin nourishing properties that help hydrate and renew skin cells while evening and brightening skin and battling acne.

The coverage is much like a tinted moisturizer but a bit thicker, so if you're one of those peeps who loves a very full coverage foundation (no judging) this might not be for you.

After I scrubbed the F out of my face, so it's a way blotchy and un-even

For reference, I used the color light-medium. I think it comes in two shades, the other being medium-dark. As you can tell I'm super pale (NW20--NW25 in Summer) so if you're even more albino than I am, it might not work for you.

In my opinion it covers up redness and evens out skin tone flawlessly, and any blemishes or scarring can easily be covered with a concealer. A little dusting of powder on your t-zone and you've got a perfect flawless face. And it is sooo moisturizing, it feels really nice on the skin!

To be fully truthful, I love this BB cream just as much as the ones I've spent $30-$40 on and it's only $13 at most drugstores. So worth it.

So if you've never tried a BB cream yet, and just want to wet your toes a little the Garnier is SO worth it. And it kind of smells amazing. Like all Garnier products.
